Published studies on Reducose®
- Reducose® taken with a sucrose challenge lowered blood glucose and insulin response by around 40% versus placebo in healthy adults (Thondre et al., Nutrition & Metabolism, 2021).
- In people with type 2 diabetes, a Reducose®-containing formulation reduced post-meal blood glucose by up to 20% and insulin by up to 24% versus placebo (Mohamed et al., Diabetes Therapy, 2023).
- Taking Reducose® before or with a meal reduced post-meal blood glucose by around a quarter to a third compared with placebo (Gheldof et al., Nutrients, 2022).
- An earlier dose-ranging study found Reducose® lowered post-meal glucose and insulin response after a maltodextrin challenge, with effects seen even at standard serving sizes (Lown et al., PLOS ONE, 2017).

Some people like to track their own blood sugar using a glucose monitor or CGM (continuous glucose monitor) — a device that reads glucose levels through a small sensor, often worn on the arm. Plenty of our customers already use one for general lifestyle tracking, and there's nothing stopping you using one alongside Gluco Control+ if you'd like to see your own trends. We don't make any claims about how the two interact together.
When you eat carbohydrates or sugar, they break down into glucose that enters your bloodstream. Refined carbs and sugary foods break down fast, so glucose rises quickly — that's the 'spike.' Your body then releases insulin to bring it back down, and a sharp rise followed by a sharp fall is often what people mean by a 'crash,' which can leave you feeling tired, shaky or reaching for another snack.
